Leah Cohen-McHale, Director, Human Resources
Leah Cohen-McHale serves as Brillient’s Director of Human Resources, responsible for overseeing all HR functions (strategic partnering, people enablement initiatives, compliance, training and development, talent management, benefits, and total rewards) that align organizational processes with key business strategies and initiatives.
With over a decade of progressive HR, project, and management experience Leah has demonstrated achievements in HR competencies across various industries, including for- and non-profit organizations of varying sizes. Some previous organizations include the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Independent Benefit Services (now Gallagher), Serco North America, and Salient CRGT.
Leah obtained her M.S. in Human Resource Development (HRD) from Villanova University and a B.S. in Business and Studio Art from James Madison University. For recognition of superior scholarship in her graduate/higher education studies (ranking top in her class) coupled with HRD Department Head nomination, Leah is an active member of the honor society Phi Kappa Phi. She stays connected to her alma maters by mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. She also serves as a Board Member for The Washington Area Total Rewards Association (WATRA), a not-for-profit organization in the local area.
Leah holds an active certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), is a Certified Trainer for Situational Leadership II with Ken Blanchard Companies, and is a Kolbe Specialist with Kolbe Corp.
